| Description: |
- Assist in the development and execution of PR plans and activities that support client objectives and goals
- Help draft and disseminate media advisories, news releases, pitch letters and other documents necessary for the successful completion of client and company objectives
- Place follow-up calls to media in an effort to secure coverage of client news items, events, etc.
- Perform research on agency client prospects, client competitors and other requested subjects. This may include research via the Internet, library, telephone, in-person and other means
- Assist in the development and completion of media lists and databases, updating the information periodically and conducting ongoing research on journalists
- Help track and report client media coverage by assisting with the development of media clips and coverage reports
- Assist with client media mailings, from the drafting of media materials to distribution
- Provide administrative and general office support - serve as the office receptionist; order and receive office incoming supplies and materials, etc.
- Help plan and staff client events
- Participate in agency brainstorms

| Qualifications: |
- Junior or senior year students with an interest in exploring public relations as a career
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communications and a positive attitude
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Computer literacy with strong skills in Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet/E-mail)
- Must be proficient in written and oral communication with a strong grasp of the English language and possess the ability to effectively proofread a variety of correspondences
